This blog was created to provide the opportunity for Spartanburg area residents, farmers, chefs, foodies, etc. to voice their opinion on the local food scene. Discussion from the blog will help aide the Hub City Farmers' Market in development and enhancement of programs, events and services. Potential blog topics include: farmers' markets, local food in restaurants, community supported agriculture, community gardens and more!

I love it. It's something Spartanburg has needed. And I was very excited to see the local pottery at last week's market. That's a nice addition for us shoppers...
The opening last week (May 10th) was wonderful. Even though I was buying conservatively because we had a busy weekend planned, I still had to make two trips to the car with all the strawberries, turnips with greens, chicken, heirloom seedlings, and soy hand cream.
By the way, I came at about 8:15 and had to park in the gravel. IN THE GRAVEL! Hopefully, I'll have to park around the corner & down the street by the end of the season.
